Relay Opens the Marathon to More Runners

Join in with friends and co-workers to form a relay team, and you can compete in the Mississippi Blues Marathon with as little as a 5-mile run! We are offering a relay for corporate teams and open relay teams. There's no simpler way to participate in Mississippi's premier marathon event.

Even if running 26.2 miles has never appealed to you, the relay is an active way to participate in one of the most fun sporting events around. Runners who regularly tackle 5-mile courses or 10Ks are sure to enjoy the energetic atmosphere that's unique to marathons. You can mingle with racers from around the country and around the world at the Blues Expo and at the race.

Relay team members each get a race shirt, finisher's medal and race goody bag.

Teams are limited to five competitors. The first four competitors will complete five miles, and pass their timing chip off at the 5, 10, 15 and 20 mile marks. The final competitor will complete a 10K (the final 6.2 miles of the course). All team members can gather to run during the last mile, crossing the finish line together for a great photo and getting awarded the finisher's medals at the same time.
